The majority of my photographs are recordings of common things seen in an uncommon way.  I take particular satisfaction in finding my subject matter among those things that are normally overlooked due to their presumed insignificance, things that are typically "hidden in plain sight."

Rather than wanting to show every conceivable aspect of a particular subject, each close-up, tightly cropped image is a reductivist response to the chaotic everyday environment from which it is derived.  Each image intentionally offers little about the actual thing represented; instead, it has been created as a "work of art" to be enjoyed for its inherent aesthetic value rather than its ability to inform or instruct.
